In 2013 Springfield Properties Plc. acquired a large site to the north of Station Square, Dornoch. The site, previously farmland, was allocated in the last Local Plan (adopted 2000) and was granted ‘Planning in Principle’ by The Highland Council in 2012 following the submission of a masterplan by the previous owners.
The proposed development will be of similar size to the approved masterplan and will incorporate a range of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom private houses as well as affordable housing, community facilities and open space.
Springfield Properties Plc. has not yet submitted a formal planning application, but are in discussions with the council Planning Officers and hope to do so in early 2014.
