Making our favourite place our home

Joanne and Kearn dreamed for years of owning a home near their favourite holiday destination, and with Springfield, they made the dream come true.

We’d been holidaying in Nairn, near Ardersier, for over ten years and always admired the area. On our last holiday we made the decision that we didn’t actually like our hometown of Birmingham that much anymore, and wouldn’t it be brilliant if we could be in Scotland all the time?  

We did a bit of research, contacted Springfield, spoke to the fantastic Sales Consultant, Stephanie Johnston, and told her the situation we were in. She gave us a Springfield brochure with all the property information and advised us to keep in contact. We were added to the mailing list and each year when we had our annual holiday to the north of Scotland, we made a conscious effort to see Stephanie and update her.

We were determined to buy a Springfield property and when Ardersier became available, we got the chance to buy the property we’re now in, the Roslin which is a four bedroom detached.

We had looked at a few different show homes and taken virtual visits on the website which were really helpful because they gave you an idea of what was going on. My father-in-law was coming up to live with us, too. He’s over 80, and the virtual visits hugely helped him because we could put it on the big screen on the television and he could look around and really visualise it.

When we brought my father-in-law up to see the show home in real life, he was amazed by how high the specifications were. This was another reason we wanted to buy from Springfield. Neither of us had bought a property in a long time, and if you don’t keep up with the process, you might need some guidance and help. Springfield was very helpful and guided us through the process and answered all of our questions, even if we just sent them an email, which was very helpful.

We moved in on the 23rd November. The rooms are a great size and the furniture fits perfectly. It was a little strange selecting a kitchen for a house that wasn’t even built yet, but we thought long and hard about what we wanted. We had to narrow the field down and be firm with ourselves, making our choices very clear.

Springfield has been wonderful throughout the process, even since we’ve moved in. We had a couple of small problems, as you do with any new property, but Springfield was here to fix them faster than you could make a phone call.

When Springfield was on site, they couldn’t do enough for you. They were so helpful, and they continue to be so helpful now with the after sales team on hand. We had to make a phone call to them last week, and they fixed the problem quickly, with no fuss.

Everybody at Springfield has been absolutely fantastic. It was always lovely to hear from Stephanie. She would pass along vital information, or ask me questions, and help me get everything sorted. It was nice to know that somebody had our backs in the process.
