Bertha Park, a Springfield village, is a countryside community on the outskirts of Perth just off the new roundabout on Ruthvenfield Road. There will be a new high school, commercial units available for shops, restaurants, medical, leisure and community use, all within a picturesque setting.
Bertha Park High School is now open.
In its first year, the all new £32.5 million secondary school will welcome S1 and S2 students from the new Springfield homes and the wider area. Provisions for S3–S6 will follow as the first years progress through their education.
The school provides a modern learning environment for up to 1,100 pupils. Bright, airy internal spaces offer a wide range of teaching, social and dining facilities, dedicated subject classrooms and flexible learning plazas. A full range of sports facilities includes a synthetic grass pitch and multi-use games area.
Head Teacher, Stuart Clyde was appointed in February 2018 after five years at the Community School of Auchterarder.
