First-time house buyers can take advantage of free financial advice at open weekend events taking place across Perth and Kinross on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March.

Local house hunters will be able to see inside a range of new homes as Springfield Properties hosts visitors at three of its developments - Lathro Farm in Kinross, Bertha Park in Perth, and Kinloch Gardens in Blairgowrie.

Financial advisors from award winning, Mortgage Advice Bureau will be on hand to answer any questions and offer complimentary advice between 12 and 3pm on both days.

There will be lots of information available about the recently launched Government funded scheme, First Home Fund, which entitles successful applicants to an interest-free equity loan of up to £25,000 to put towards the purchase of a new home.

Visitors to the Springfield developments can also hear more about the Help to Buy scheme. This is open to applications from every buyer and is available on homes up to £200,000. The First Home Fund has no house price restriction.

Springfield Head of Sales, Lynn Houston said: “The event is a great opportunity for new buyers to get a better understanding of the house-buying process and the range of different financial schemes available to them.

“They can also get free expert advice from mortgage specialists, providing useful information to make an informed decision.

“Over the course of the weekend, homes that are ready now will be open for visitors to see inside, giving them the opportunity to see first-hand the quality of a Springfield home.

“We look forward to welcoming house buyers and will be on hand to answer any questions.”

The leading housebuilder is also inviting prospective buyers to explore different house styles at Bertha Park, Lathro Farm, and Kinloch Gardens.

Bertha Park, a Springfield village, is a countryside community on the outskirts of Perth just off the new roundabout on Ruthvenfield Road.

The village includes a new high school, play park and has a bus route to the centre of Perth. As Bertha Park continues to grow, there will be shops, restaurants, medical facilities, office space and other business opportunities, all within a picturesque setting. Bertha Park has a variety of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes ready to move into now.

The Lathro Farm development in Kinross contains a stylish range of homes for sale. They sit in a great location, with Kinross High School, leisure centre and local nursery on the doorstep, and Perth just 30 minutes commute away. Lathro Farm boasts several 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes ready for an early move.

Located close to the A9, the Kinloch Gardens development in Blairgowrie is well connected and within easy reach of Perth and Dundee. With a range of spacious detached and semi-detached houses, including bungalows to choose from and easy access to local schools, it’s the perfect place for growing families. Kinloch Gardens is located within walking distance of independent cafes, shops and restaurants as well as having easy access to a large Tesco just a five-minute drive away.

Sales offices at each development are open from 10am to 5.30pm.
