Project Addressing Changing Demographic Gets Green Light
During a meeting of the Moray Council Planning Committee today planning permission was granted for Springfield to build thirty two new homes at Southfield, off Thornhill Road, Elgin.
The homes, ear-marked for older occupants, will be built by Springfield in Partnership with Moray Council. They bring closer to completion a site which has already already provided a number of community facilities including a health centre, dentist, retail units, nursery, offices, sports pitches and shortly a new sports pavilion.
With just a few details remaining to be finalised between the Council and the company Springfield hope to be on site by August this year. The first of the thirty two homes will be handed over in March 2015.
