Commonwealth swimming hopeful, Mark Szaranek, officially opened the showhome today at Springfield Properties’ latest development in Edinburgh.

Sponsored by Springfield and fresh from being named as 200m individual medley champion at the East District competitive meet in the capital, promising swimmer Mark Szaranek was on hand to officially mark the opening of the showhome at Corstorphine Mews – an exclusive new development of contemporary homes in Edinburgh’s leafy Corstorphine area.

Offering a real sense of being in the heart of the city, the Scottish Homebuilder of the Year’s stylish development is already proving popular with the capital’s homebuyers; with four out of the 11 luxury three and four-bedroom homes already sold. Covering a generous 1,500sq ft spread over three floors, the new showhome showcases Springfield’s latest offering in flexible and comfortable city living.

Built to a high specification, buyers also have the opportunity to work with Springfield through their unique Choices system to create a home perfectly tailored to suit their individual lifestyle and needs. The homes benefit from in-built smart features and technology; each comes with its own iPad giving the homeowner control of lighting and heating both at home and away, with the swipe of a finger.

Springfield are continuing to add to their portfolio of developments throughout the Scottish capital with their highly anticipated Powderhall Gate development. These energy-efficient properties, situated just a stone’s throw from the city centre, include five luxury four-bedroom townhouses due to be completed later this year.

Commenting on the new showhome, Laura Mitchell, sales manager at Springfield, said:

“Corstorphine Mews is our latest development in Edinburgh and builds on the success that we have previously enjoyed in the capital. Interest in the development is high and several of the properties have already been snapped up prior to our showhome opening. The first new resident is already enjoying their new home.

“We’re committed to working on building our presence throughout the city and have started work on our latest venture close to the city centre, at Powderhall Gate. Like Corstorphine Mews, this development pairs desirable homes with a great location.

“We are excited to be sponsoring Mark and congratulate him on his success at the East District competition here in the city. All of us at Springfield will be rooting for him ahead of his Commonwealth Games trials later this year.”

Mark Szaranek, sponsored by Springfield, added:

“Springfield’s sponsorship has continued to allow me to train for competitions such as the East District meet. Without this support I wouldn’t have been able to train as consistently as I have been in preparation for the Glasgow 2014 swimming trials in Spring. They are helping me to advance my swim career and it’s a real privilege to open their showhome..”
