Springfield Properties have taken a step forward with proposals for a new village at Dykes of Gray, on the western outskirts of Dundee. A planning application has been submitted this week (Friday 13th February 2015) for junction improvements at the Swallow Roundabout to accommodate this long awaited residential development.

The first phase of this high quality new village was granted planning permission late last year and will provide 230 much needed new homes to the west of the city. The village has been planned with a sense of community in mind and will cater for a wide range of needs with 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes, all designed to complement the area.

Springfield’s Chairman Sandy Adam said:

“We are dedicated to working with the Council to develop a new village at Dykes of Gray. This is the next step in realising our joint ambition. We have designed this new village to be a community. There will be something for everyone from those buying their first home to those that have a family already - this will be a place that children will grow up and come back to  have their own families.

“This will be the first time that people in Dundee will be able to benefit from our unique approach to housebuilding. We don’t begin to build until our customers have told us what they want. And our homes offer unrivalled value for money because we include much more in the price. Customers are already visiting our Blairgowrie development to see what we can do for them.”

There has been a large amount of local interest in the development and Springfield is committed to opening a sales office as soon as possible. In the meantime, those who wish more information on the homes available can visit www.springfield.co.uk or call 01324 555536.
