Springfield Properties granted planning permission in Dundee

The application for the remaining 365 Springfield homes in Dykes of Gray, just off the Swallow Roundabout has now been approved.

The application was initially rejected due to concerns with education.

Springfield have agreed to pay a roof tax to the Council for each completed home on the development to be used for a new Primary School and also identified three possible locations near the Dykes of Gray village where this could be built.

With planning officials happy with the alterations made to the application, progress can be made with the new village.

Springfield Properties Chairman, Sandy Adam, attended the planning hearing and said:

“We are absolutely delighted with the decision to approve our Dykes of Gray planning application. We listened to the feedback from Dundee Council in December and addressed and amended the points of concern in the application presented yesterday.”

He continued:

“We are planning to build a range of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes, all designed to compliment the area. With planning approved, Springfield are determined to have a sales office on site in June 2015.”
