Springfield Given the go ahead for a Specialist Housing Facility
Moray Council have granted the Scottish family business planning permission for 30 new apartments and associated community space specifically for the elderly and those with dementia.
Working with Hanover Housing Association, the apartments to the back of the Southfield Park, will be highly energy efficient, exceeding silver sustainability standards to keep running costs low.
Springfield Partnerships Managing Director, Tom Leggeat has said:
“This type of project is completely new for us but displays that Springfield Partnerships can easily diversify from mainstream affordable to specialist housing.
“We are working very closely with Stirling Dementia Centre and various other specialists to ensure we exceed requirements to allow fruitful and healthy living standards for those with varying needs.”
Springfield is planning to be on site in January of next year to complete all 30 apartments in summer 2017.
