Elgin charities up for nomination as Springfield Properties’ Christmas

3rd November 2026

Springfield Properties is calling on residents at its Glassgreen Village development in Elgin to nominate local charities to receive a £500 Christmas donation, as the Springfield Group’s Christmas Cheer campaign returns for a third year.

With nominations opening Monday 2nd November, Glassgreen Village residents can put forward the charities that matter most to them via an online form. The form will be emailed to residents and can also be accessed by scanning QR codes displayed on signs around the development and via links on social media.

As part of the annual campaign, Springfield is offering support to a range of charities, including those that help vulnerable people, promote wellbeing or bring the community together.

Last year’s campaign drew more than 35 nominations and led to £3,500 in donations to Scottish charities, with donations going to wider North of Scotland charities like Highlands and Islands Blood Bikes and L’Arche Highland.

In Elgin, Moray Women’s Aid was chosen to be the local recipient, receiving a £500 donation to be used to support women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse across Moray.

Dave Main, Managing Director (North), at Springfield Properties, said:

“Moray is where Springfield was founded, so supporting local causes here is especially close to our hearts.

“Christmas is a particularly special time to give back and is often a period where charities rely even more on the generosity of donors. Hearing from residents about the charities closest to them helps us make sure our support reaches the causes that mean the most to the Elgin community, and we’re looking forward to seeing this year’s nominations.”
