School Netball team thank builder for their sponsorship
Dalziel High School Netball team have thanked house builders, Springfield Properties, for thesponsorship of their new dresses.
Since the launch of the new housing development of over 100 homes along Airbles Road in Motherwell, Springfield has offered support to the netball girls at Dalziel High School.
The girls from the age of 11 through to 16 train once a week in preparation for their weekly game in the North Lanarkshire schools league.
PE Teacher and netball coach at Dalziel High School, Rosie Campbell, has said:
“The sponsorship from Springfield has been a great morale boost for the girls. They now have dresses that actually fit them. They look the part and feel like a proper team as they have ‘official sponsors’.
“Extra curricular activities are so important for kids. They are a great platform that offers so many opportunities. For us, it isn’t just about the netball. The social aspect is huge. They speak to kids from other year groups, classes and even schools. It really brings some of the quieter kids out of their shell and boosts their confidence.
“Next year, there will be an increased opportunity for coaching and increased responsibility for some of the older players. There will be Netball Ambassadors who will help with the younger teams and may even hold additional training sessions through the week – strengthening the girl’s chances of making it to the finals.
“It’s great Springfield have been able to help support our the club. The girls now have matching uniforms, which look smart and help them feel part of a team. They were all really excited when they arrived and so grateful to the company.
“We are hoping to make it to the finals in the next few years and now the team will be looking very professional in their dresses thanks to Springfield’s sponsorship.”
