Springfield Properties Win Top Scottish Homes Award

The Moray and Stirling-based company took the Scottish Home Awards House Builder of the Year title at the annual ceremony at Glasgow’s Thistle Hotel on June 20 along with a string of other accolades.

The ceremony was attended by 500 guests who heard Springfield recognised by the judges for its approach to house building which challenges the norms of the industry and has seen the company report sustained profitability and growth through the last two decades.

Focusing on the customer, the company’s robust business model delivers more choice, higher specifications, and outstanding after sales care all at competitive prices. With each home built to suit the individual customer the company is breaking new ground in the volume house building industry.

Springfield managing director Innes Smith collected the award and is delighted with the awards and says: “We are about looking after our customers and building the home they want. We want to exceed our customers’ expectations every time and want them to say good things about us.

“Springfield runs its business so that we can give our customers an unbeatable level of choice, the best standard specification available and make sure our customers are well looked after once they are in their new home.

In addition to main award Springfield, who have 450 people working on their projects throughout Scotland, received the Environmental Excellence Award for their ongoing work to bring more energy efficient homes to the mass market. As part of this project the company built the first home in Scotland to meet 2016 building standards and the company aims to build ahead of current standards and Springfield has been the first volume builder to introduce the option of solar photo voltaic panels for customers.

Springfield’s Sales and Marketing teams were recognised with a Commendation for the work done to introduce the company’s approach to house building to Central Scotland which generated a phenomenal increase in sales of 45%. The team put the rise down to giving customers what they want – choice, quality and good customer service.
